A leading worldwide supplier of reference electrodes for over 30 years
Fully compliant with international standards. Competitively priced and made to order. Proven reliability.

Cathodic protection monitoring
Primarily our reference electrodes are used for permanent installation in reinforced concrete to monitor reinforcement steel potentials for corrosion activity or control a cathodic protection system. They are also used to monitor cathodic protection systems protecting steel framed buildings.

RB15 Reference Electrode
Superior long life manganese dioxide based reference electrode. Ideal for marine environments and reinforced concrete. Solid state โ no internal gels.

LD15 / LD25 Reference Electrode
Ag/AgCl/0.5M KCl electrode for atmospherically exposed concrete and steel frame buildings. 30+ year design life with large contact area.

MMO/Ti Reference Electrode
Mixed metal oxide pseudo reference electrodes for depolarisation measurements. 50+ year service life on high purity titanium substrate.
Every electrode is checked, calibrated and supplied with certification.
Calibrated & certified
Each unit is checked against a master and supplied with a calibration certificate traceable to ISO 12696:2022.
Made to order
Manufactured to your cable lengths, sizes and configuration, then shipped internationally from the UK.
Built to last
Designed for 30+ year service life in demanding concrete, marine and steel-framed environments.
Installed on landmark infrastructure

CEL supplied reference electrodes for the corrosion monitoring system installed in the foundations of the world's tallest building.

Reference electrodes installed to monitor reinforcement steel potentials and cathodic protection in a demanding marine environment.

Castle Electrodes supplied reference electrodes for the cathodic protection monitoring system at the Gravelly Hill Interchange โ famously known as Spaghetti Junction.
