About this project
Ryde Pier is an early 19th century pier serving the town of Ryde on the Isle of Wight. It is the world's oldest seaside pleasure pier and the second longest pier in the United Kingdom. Castle Electrodes supplied reference electrodes for the cathodic protection monitoring system protecting the pier's marine reinforced concrete and steel structures against the aggressive seawater environment.
